We are the membership body that supports marine professionals throughout their careers. Our global community works together across engineering, science and technology to drive safety, standards, and sustainability.
IMarEST members gain international recognition through our programmes of professional registration (such as chartership), lifelong learning and career development. Corporate partners and academic institutions use our accreditations as a mark of quality.
We are the sector’s trusted technical voice, bringing together diverse marine professionals to collaborate with likeminded people and deliver a positive future for our sector. Our members share knowledge, create real-world impact, and work at key international forums.
The IMarEST has consultative status at the International Maritime Organization and observer status with Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO.
Joining the IMarEST is easy, with tailored membership packages, corporate partnerships, and a global network of branches that connects our members wherever they are.
