The Tron AIS-SART is a compact, robust GMDSS search and rescue locating device designed to help rescue teams quickly identify and locate people or vessels in distress.
Combining a compact design with reliable AIS technology, the Tron AIS-SART measures only 251 mm in height and weighs just 450 g. Its proven housing is identical to Jotron’s Tron SART20, making it easy to handle, store and deploy in an emergency.
Each Tron AIS-SART is programmed with a unique identification code and uses an integrated GPS receiver to determine its position. The position and identification data are transmitted via the international AIS channels in the maritime VHF band, allowing nearby AIS-equipped vessels, aircraft and rescue units to identify and locate the device.
Designed for demanding maritime environments, the Tron AIS-SART is Wheel Mark approved and can be used as a search and rescue locating device in accordance with IMO SOLAS requirements.
Together with the Tron SART20, it provides shipowners with a proven and reliable solution for meeting GMDSS search and rescue locating requirements.
