Tron 40VDR AIS with heating bracket

Information

The Tron 40VDR AIS combines an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) with a float-free storage medium for Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) systems. The product is supplied exclusively to VDR manufacturers. The Tron 40VDR AIS integrates Cospas-Sarsat distress alerting and AIS technology with a separate VDR storage module featuring a standardized 80 GB memory capacity. In an emergency, the float-free design enables automatic release while supporting both distress alerting and recovery of critical voyage data. For improved visibility during search and rescue operations, the Tron 40VDR AIS features an infrared LED (IR LED), supporting detection with night-vision equipment in darkness and low-visibility conditions. The beacon also supports the Galileo Return Link Service (RLS), which can provide confirmation that the distress alert has been received through the satellite system. Compliant with IMO and SOLAS requirements, the Tron 40VDR AIS meets IEC 61097-2 Ed.4 and is Cospas-Sarsat and MED approved, as well as MER (UK), FCC, IC and ANATEL approved.
